4 ounces oil (mineral, olive, etc)
1 ounce beeswax – pellets or grated
Lemon essential oil
8 ounce jar
Melting pot
Melt beeswax over boiling water in melting pot. Incorporate oil and essential oil until smooth. Let cool to room temperature. Store with lid for up to a year. Excellent leather restorer/conditioner.
Traditional Beeswax Wood Polish
1/3 beeswax
1/3 boiled linseed oil
1/3 turpentine
Melt beeswax over double boiler or in partially submerged jar (for less cleanup – use the jar the polish will go in). Remove from heat, incorporate linseed oil and turpentine while hot and mix well. Mixture may be lumpy at first but will mix over a few days and then it will be ready to use.
